本書は、2025年9月6日から10月11日まで開催された個展
『もっと深くて鋭くて、危なくて、たまらなく美しいやつ。普通じゃないもの。』にあわせて制作された一冊です。会場で発表された約30点の近作を中心に収録し、松岡が一貫して探求してきた写真観を、より色濃く体現しています。
松岡は、スナップショットによる私写真の系譜に連なる作品で知られています。
長年使用しているフィルムカメラ「オリンパス μ（ミュー）」で撮影されたイメージは、淡く統一された色調と、どこか浮遊するような感覚をまとっています。
旅先の風景、身近な人々、ヌード、さらには光漏れによって偶然生まれる抽象的な像まで、その被写体は多岐にわたります。
本作において松岡は、ブレやピントの揺らぎ、意図しない露光といった偶然性を積極的に取り込み、イメージの輪郭をあえて曖昧に保ちます。何かを断定するのではなく、世界の断片をそっとすくい上げるように提示するその眼差しは、見る者に静かな余白を残します。
また、彼の写真には、目立つものと見過ごされるものを分け隔てなく受け入れる感覚が息づいています。日常の中で切り捨てられがちな風景や瞬間にも、確かに美しさが宿っていることに気づかせてくれます。
言葉が時に意味を限定し、ニュアンスを削ぎ落としてしまうのに対し、松岡は写真という非言語のメディアを通して、固定化された価値観をやわらかくほどいていきます。本作品集は、人や風景のまだ見ぬ側面に触れるための静かな入口となるでしょう。

“Deeper, Sharper, More Dangerous, and Irresistibly Beautiful. Something Not Ordinary,”
held from September 6 to October 11, 2025. The book features approximately 30 recent works, centering on images produced this year, and reflects Matsuoka’s photographic vision with greater clarity and intensity.
Matsuoka is known for his work within the lineage of snapshot-based personal photography. Shot with his long-used film camera, the Olympus μ (mju), his images are characterized by softly unified color tones and a distinctive sense of suspension. His subjects range widely—from landscapes encountered during travel and people close to him, to nudes and abstract images created through accidental light leaks.
In this body of work, Matsuoka actively embraces elements such as blur, soft focus, unintended exposure, and other unpredictable occurrences. By doing so, he keeps the contours of his images deliberately open, avoiding definitive statements and instead gently presenting fragments of the world. His gaze leaves space for quiet contemplation.
His photographs also carry an inclusive sensibility that does not distinguish between what is highlighted and what is overlooked. They invite us to recognize the beauty that resides even in places and moments that often go unnoticed.
While language can sometimes strip away nuance and fix meaning too sharply, Matsuoka approaches the world through the non-verbal medium of photography. His work loosens pre-existing values and perceptions, revealing unfamiliar aspects of people and landscapes.
This photobook offers a quiet entry point into those unseen dimensions.

《更深、更锋利、更危险、令人无法抗拒的美——非比寻常之物》而出版，收录约30件以今年创作为中心的最新作品，更加鲜明而集中地呈现了艺术家一贯以来的摄影观。
松冈以快照式的私摄影创作而广为人知。他长期使用的胶片相机“奥林巴斯 μ（mju）”，赋予作品统一而柔和的色调，以及一种独特的漂浮感。其拍摄对象涵盖旅途中邂逅的风景、身边的人物、人体，以及因漏光而偶然生成的抽象影像等，呈现出丰富多样的面貌。
在本作中，松冈主动接纳影像中的模糊、失焦、非预期曝光以及拍摄现场的偶发状况，使画面的轮廓保持一种有意的暧昧。他并不试图给出明确的判断，而是以一种近乎轻柔的方式，拾取并呈现世界的片段，为观者留下安静的想象空间。
